Requirements

  • Large-scale, sophisticated, extensive lighting control system.
  • Extensive network of panels under control and monitoring of a PC (computer) or PCs.
  • Very large number of panels and relays.
  • Sophisticated switching input types and scheduling and switching options.
  • Dimming control as well as relay and relay group outputs.
  • Minimal inter-panel wiring.
  • Frequent changing of scheduling and output groupings.
  • Once programmed, each panel can operate independently without the PC being online.

  • Douglas MC-6000 system of networked relay panels under control of a PC or PC's.
  • Each panel in the MC-6000 system utilizes a panel control card in conjunction with input and output cards.
  • Up to 255 panels can exist in the network.
  • Panels are interconnected with a simple RS-485 data signal.
  • The PC can connect anywhere in the network and can access any panel output at any time.
  • The PC schedules and programs the panels. Once the programs are downloaded into the interface cards' memory, the panels can operate without the PC being online.
