MC-6000
COMPUTER-CONTROLLED
RS-485 NETWORK
The MC-6000 System is designed to operate large scale Lighting
Control Systems. Both Relay Control and Dimmer Control are
supported.
The MC-6000 System
In very large scale projects, such as convention centers,
sports stadiums, office towers and shopping malls, lighting
control systems are generally very large and require ongoing
programming and monitoring by computers. Additionally, the
need for graphical interfaces is common for such systems.
The MC-6000 System is designed specifically for such large scale projects.
MC-6000 Control Interface
The MC-6000 Lighting Control System has control interfaces
that are installed in each panel. The control interfaces are
serially connected with a RS-485 data signal. One or more
PC's are connected to the data signal and are used to monitor
and program the system.
MC-6000 Control Software
The MC-6000 control software supports full scheduling capabilities and supports graphical interfaces.
A graphical interface displays a plan of the building and its lights and is actuated by using a mouse to click the lights or lighting groups ON or OFF.
The interface is interactive and will show the true state of the lights with different colored icons.
Graphical interfaces are usually created from the AutoCad files used to design the building.
MC-6000 System Capabilities
The capacity of an MC-6000 System is large, and up to 250 control interfaces can exist.
Each control interface can operate up to 64 relays. This gives a theoretical total of 16,000 relays.
As well, Dilor dimming panels manufactured by Douglas can
be a part of the MC-6000 System. This is useful for large
projects where both dimming and relay control are required.
