EXTERNALLY-CONFIGURED LONWORKS
LIGHTING CONTROL NETWORK

WNX-2624 Network Nodes combined with WRS-2224 Scanners are LonMark Certified Devices that can be integrated as a Part of a LonWorks Building Automation System.

The W-2000 System uses LonWorks Technology

The Douglas W-2000 system uses LonWorks technology. The devices used in the W-2000 system are LonMark certified devices for lighting control. This means that they can be integrated to be a part of other manufacturers' systems that support the LonMark standards for lighting control.

Integrated LonWorks Systems

Integrated systems are typically a central Building Automation System that controls numerous sub-systems within the building. Such sub-systems can include the HVAC, security, lighting, card access and fire alarm systems. A common interface is typically used by all the sub-systems and this interface can permit interoperability between them.

Examples of the type of control a central BAS system could provide are:

  • switching heat and light ON when a card access reader is actuated

  • switching some lights OFF when the HVAC system becomes heavily loaded to permit load shedding

  • switching lights ON to permit emergency egress when the fire alarm is actuated

Douglas LonWorks Products

Douglas products are designed and certified in accordance with the standards specified by the LonMark association. This ensures reliable and predictable integration of Douglas LonWorks products into any Building Control System that supports LonMarked lighting control.
