W-2000
INTERNET BROWSER-CONTROLLED
LIGHTING CONTROL NETWORK

Adding a WNP-2150 Network Manager to a Network of WNX-2624 Nodes and WRS-2224 Scanners permits Control of the Lighting Control System via an Internet browser.

Utilizing the WNP-2150 Network Manager

When a WNP-2150 Network Manager is connected to a Douglas W-2000 system, the lighting control system can be monitored and controlled from any standard Internet Browser on a PC. The PC, or LAN that the PC is a part of, connects to the WNP-2150 via an ethernet connection.

The WNP-2150 has embedded lighting control software that utilizes an internal web server as its interface. When any PC or LAN is connected to the WNP-2150, the standard web browser software, such as Internet Explorer® or Netscape Navigator® or equivalent, can be used to view and edit the lighting control software.

To access the WNP-2150, enter the IP address that is inscribed on the WNP-2150 unit into the browser's address field.

Some Network Manager Functions

The WNP-2150 permits the following general functions:

  • Network management and addressing

  • Entering descriptions for each relay

  • Entering descriptions for each group input

  • Full scheduling (weekly and holiday)

  • Astronomic and photo control

  • Flick warn, time-out and timed-off

  • Logging of last 100 actions

In addition to the above functions, the WNP-2150 has an optional internal telephone modem to permit direct connection by phone line. This connection is useful should factory support be required and an Internet connection is not available.
