DOUGLAS LIGHTING CONTROLS, INC. engineers, manufactures and distributes lighting control products for the North American and International markets.

HISTORY

Douglas has manufactured and supplied lighting control equipment since 1962. Over the past 45 years, Douglas has developed many lighting control firsts:

Early 1960s:

Lighting Control Products Distribution
Distributed the 2-wire relay, switches and panels for field assembly.

Late 1960s:

First Programmable Lighting Control System
Manufactured and installed the first programmable lighting control system in North America using telecom technology.

Early 1970s:

Pre-Assembled Systems
Pioneered pre-assembled panels and promoted pre-assembled lighting control systems as the standard for new construction projects.

Early 1980s:

Computer-Controlled Systems
Evolved programmable lighting control systems to take advantage of the personal computer and to include graphics and logging.

Early 1990s:

Architectural Dimming Products
Added Architectural Dimming Systems to the lighting control product line with computer control through the MC-600 System.

Mid 1990s:

LonWorks Technology
Adopted the LonWorks control technology for a number of Douglas lighting control products. Douglas joins the LonMark Lighting Control Standards group.

Early 2000s:

W-2000 System and Internet Control
Introduces Internet control to the Douglas LonWorks lighting control product group.

Douglas Lighting Controls, Inc. engineers, manufactures and distributes lighting control products for the North American and International markets. We manufacture a full line of lighting control products from basic components to pre-assembled systems.

Douglas lighting control products are installed in thousands of buildings and have provided many years of reliable service.
