Douglas 2-wire switches are momentary switches that use internal diodes to provide an ON or OFF pulse.
The white terminal of the switch is connected to the common 24VAC source, and the red terminal to the relay. Therefore, a 6-switch station will require 7 wires: 1 common 24VAC wire and 6 red signal wires.
A variety of switch types for Douglas relays are available. They include:
Douglas élan 2-wire Switch Modules each contain 1 to 4 LED-indicating rocker switches.
The white terminals of the switches in the module connect to the common 24VAC source, and the red terminal of each switch to the relay. For example, a 4-switch module will require 5 wires: 1 common signal wire and 4 red signal wires. All connections are on the back of the module.
A variety of élan 2-wire switch types, including key-activated accessory switches, are available:
Also available are élan data line switch modules that connect to the data line in a
W-2000 network and élan controller modules for dimming ballasts
Douglas also provides a line of momentary and maintained closure switches for signaling other systems or devices.
A wide variety of switch cover plates, switch enclosures and switch accessories are available from Douglas. For élan switch modules, 'Decora' style cover plates are available in stainless steel or in white plastic.
